About Poss Jonah

Poss Jonah is a possum who leans on a lamppost and hunts for the good stuff, town to town. He's the mascot and guide for a family of "best of" rankings built by Albert Jones.

What you'll find here

Best-of rankings. Best Tea started it, with Southern iced tea by city, and the family now includes pizza, BBQ, fried chicken, seafood, burgers, steak, hot dogs, Chinese, Mexican, fast food, burritos, tacos, and egg rolls. Visitors nominate and cheer for their favorites. The rankings are user-driven and positive only: we celebrate the good places and don't run "worst of" lists.

World of the Strange. We also write short, fact-checked stories about odd but true things from crime, history, and science. We keep them non-graphic and family-friendly, we say plainly when sources disagree, and we list our sources at the bottom of each one. Read them on our Articles page.
